Stump grinding is usually a quick process and the service is reasonably priced. However, stumps differ in hardness, height, location, root flare and exposed root mass, foreign debris (rocks in subsoil) and other factors. We like to put eyes on the job prior to the final quote. Generally, a small 10” diameter stump costs $100-$150 to grind and disperse the millings. Larger stumps are more and price per stump goes down with more to do per job.
